-imati odlicne skaute kao sto ima Fergie. Koliko je on samo doveo igraca tipa Hernandeza ili Smalinga?? Bog dragi zna samo. Pa onaj Smaling je bolji od svakog vaseg stopera. Carra jest iskusan ali je u godinama i izgubio je na brzini. Agger i Skrtel su onako,solidni.

Ma nek' si ti meni objektivan.Pozdravio ti je Suarez Smallinga,zove ga da zajedno voze biciklo.

Ja tek sada vidio sta je ovaj majestic napisao Pa Agger i Skrtel mogu onog levata u zubima da nosaju.

Nema on pure za stopera, samo ima srecu sto uz njega igraju Vidic ili Ferdinand

Za sve koji nisu baš upoznati sa igrama Juana Mate, igrača koji se u posljednje vrijeme dosta spominje, samo ću prekopirati jedan tekst sa RAWK-a o njemu, s kojim se prilično slažem..

His positioning in an attacking sense is decent, but most of the space he creates for himself comes from his small bursts of speed. Can change pace fairly quickly, and is also quick with the ball at his feet. A slightly worse dribbler than Silva, who also edges him technically, but he still has a good control of the ball and doesn't tend to be over elaborate with it and tends more towards keeping it than risking the loss of possession. The most often I see him lose possession is down the wing where he will attempt a lung-busting run and the defender will get the better of him physically, because as you probably know his stature is quite petite and his balance leaves a lot to be desired.

Has a decent eye for a pass, but not on the same level as Gerrard for example. His passing is more limited and tends to keep his passing range at close quarters. Sometimes he's a little hit-and-miss with it, but with enough time and space can pick out killer balls. It just depends how quickly the opposition close him down, and he tends to lose it more often when playing against the #better' teams.

He has a great shot on him and likes to shoot if given the chance. If Suarez has an overall shot accuracy/technique of around 85, then Mata falls closer to the 80 mark. But has that natual knack of being able to slot the ball in from tight angles. His shots aren't always overly powerful and his goals tend to be passed in rather than belted.

His conditioning is good, but can be worked on. He can drop out of games late on which comes down to stamina and perhaps that could be worked on more in training if and when he signs for us.

Okay with his right foot, but definately prefers his left. Rather than going for the killer ball with his weak foot or shooting with it he will use it mostly for switching from one foot to the other when dribbling and avoiding tackles. He has a good way of knocking it from one foot to the other and then passed the defending player with a burst of pace.

Overall he would add a lot to the team. I believe his best position is in a 4-4-2 where he plays as the wide man that cuts in probably 80% of the time and runs down the wing the other 20%, looking more for a cut-back pass as oppose to a stellar cross into the box. He does okay in a 4-3-3, but he prefers players around him, and out on that left with Suarez all over the right and Carroll with limited mobility in the middle of the park, I can see him being found wanting on occasion, but lets hope I'm wrong on that one.

All-in-all I would be made up with him as he's better than any winger we have at the club if asked to play that role, and would easily be the second best option after Suarez as a wing forward in a 4-3-3. Anyway that's my two cents on him.
