According to Calciomercato, Inter have expressed a long-standing interest in Andrea Cambiaso and would consider him as part of a swap deal for Frattesi. While they would prefer to sell Frattesi for cash, the inclusion of Cambiaso would make an exchange more attractive to them.

Tarik Muharemović could unlock Juventus move for midfielder

Tarik Muharemović could be set for a move to Inter Milan next month, and the development may ultimately benefit Juventus, even though they have also been linked with the defender. Muharemović was developed within the youth system of the Old Lady and has gone on to establish himself as one of the most impressive defenders in Italian football since moving to Sassuolo last season. His progress has been closely followed, and Juventus remain proud to see a former academy player performing well in the top flight.

Juventus are currently dealing with defensive concerns within their squad, yet Muharemović does not appear to be a priority target at this stage. As a result, they are prepared to allow him to join Inter Milan should that move materialise. Rather than blocking the transfer, Juventus view the situation as an opportunity to benefit financially and strategically.

Financial benefits for Juventus

One of the key advantages of Muharemović moving to Inter is the financial return Juventus would receive. They are entitled to 50 per cent of any fee that Inter agrees to pay Sassuolo to complete the transfer. This clause means Juventus would secure a significant sum without directly negotiating the deal themselves, strengthening their position ahead of the next transfer window.

That income could prove valuable as Juventus look to reshape parts of its squad. The club are expected to be active in the market, and additional funds would provide greater flexibility when targeting players they consider essential to their plans.

Impact on other transfer plans

The move could also have wider implications. Muharemović joining Inter may help unlock the departure of Davide Frattesi, a player Juventus are keen to sign. With the funds generated from the defender’s transfer, Juventus would be better placed to pursue that deal.

Inter are not heavily reliant on Frattesi, and Luciano Spalletti is keen to work with him, which has placed the midfielder among their key targets for the upcoming window. According to Tuttomercatoweb, this potential three-way transfer scenario is the latest plan Juventus are monitoring closely.

If executed as expected, the chain of moves could allow Juventus to strengthen its squad while benefiting from the success of a former youth player elsewhere in Serie A.

Maifredi defends Juventus attack

One area that continues to attract criticism is the attack, with strikers yet to deliver the expected goal return. However, former coach Gigi Maifredi has offered a different perspective, speaking according to Tuttomercatoweb. He said, “Juve have incredible human and technical potential. They have the strongest attack in the league. Without Vlahovic, it’s clear that something is missing, but the players Juve have acquired are important. Their lack of performance depends on many factors, but results lead to improvement. Bremer’s recovery has made this team important, as it was on paper.”

Maifredi’s comments suggest patience is required. Juventus possess the tools to improve, and with confidence building under Spalletti, their attacking quality may yet begin to reflect its true potential as results improve.

Juventus close in on Ottolini appointment after Genoa contract resolution

Juventus are set to finalise the appointment of Marco Ottolini as their new sporting director after the executive formally resolved his contract with Genoa.

According to reports from Tuttomercatoweb, Ottolini has completed the termination of the agreement that still contractually tied him to Genoa, despite his operational departure from the club having taken place several weeks ago.

The move represents a key formal step that clears the way for his imminent arrival in Turin.

Ottolini close to Juventus appointment

With the bureaucratic process now concluded, Ottolini is expected to sign with Juventus and begin work immediately, with a particular focus on the upcoming January transfer window. The Bianconeri are keen to have their new sporting director fully operational as the mid-season market approaches.

Juventus’ planning for January is already underway, and Ottolini’s early involvement would allow him to take an active role in both squad management and longer-term strategic decisions.

It has also not been ruled out that Ottolini could already be present at the club’s official team dinner scheduled for this evening at the J Museum.

The event is expected to be attended by senior figures within the club, including Exor CEO John Elkann, underlining the importance of the moment as Juventus prepare to usher in a new phase of sporting leadership.

Capello: ‘I don’t see anyone breaking away at the moment’

Asked by La Gazzetta dello Sport whether this five-way race for the Serie A title could go the full distance, Capello said: “Why not? I don’t see anyone breaking away at the moment. They all score points, they all occasionally slow down. Milan and Roma were in the lead, now Inter and Napoli are back up there, Juve are seriously getting back into the frame.”

Does he see Juventus as worthy title challengers this season?

“Their season certainly isn’t over. They’ve got a run of forms that could bring them 12 points in their next few games,” he said.

And on Spalletti, Capello said: “He’s found the right players to play in many positions. He’s rediscovered that determination and aggressiveness that had disappeared. And Juve are one of the few Italian sides who can take players on and create a numerical superiority: Yildiz, Conceicao, Zhegrova, they often put rivals in trouble.”

Does he feel that Juventus are genuine Scudetto contenders this season?

“Juve are there, they could make up the gap, and they still have direct clashes left to play,” he answered.

Speaking according to Tuttojuve, Matri said, “The transfer market? To make the leap in quality, quality investments would be needed, and honestly, I don’t know if the club can afford them at this stage. Just to be clear, someone like Tonali would turn things around, but I don’t know if that’s feasible now.”

Last week, TuttoSport reported Crystal Palace’s interest in Juventus’ Joao Mario.

It was believed the Eagles see Sacha Boey as a priority target but the Portuguese is viewed as a reliable alternative.

Talk about Joao Mario’s future is now growing in Italy. He’s played only 237 minutes in Serie A this season, with his last appearance coming in early November. Luciano Spalletti, appointed Juventus manager in October, hasn’t used him a single time in the league.

Spalletti is seeking to replace the 25-year-old, who is a right winger by trade but can also work at wing-back.

The newspaper mentions interest from Crystal Palace, who are facing competition from clubs in Spain. It is believed that Joao Mario’s exit from Turin in the next few weeks is very possible.

Crystal Palace would have to pay around €12m to sign the versatile attacker. That is Juve’s only demand, as they signed him for around €11m in the summer. They want to earn a capital gain from the sale before they sign a possible replacement.

Joao Mario’s woes at Juventus may not be all down to him, so Crystal Palace fans should consider that. Even when the Italian club bought him there was talk of it being a deal where they’d sell him for profit.

There wasn’t a great deal of attention given to his future, and certainly a lack of effort to nurture his talent.
