Re: Juventus FC
Not news but a reminder:
In 2004 Juventus club Dr Riccardo Agricola given a 22-month suspended prison sentence for administering banned substances to players 1994-1998. During the trial, hematologist named Giuseppe D’Onofrio, examined hemoglobin levels of Juve players from February-June 1996 & found this could only be explained by use of blood transfusions or the banned EPO.
Nothing happened to those responsible due to statute of limitations but still today they pretend to be victims of a conspiracy.
Calciopoli prosecutor admits: “After Juventus, we were ready to investigate Inter”
Last night, Rai Tre aired a documentary on Calciopoli, the scandal that rocked Italian football in the summer of 2006.
At the time, Juventus emerged as the main protagonists in the shady affairs that ensued during that period. The club was accused of having special bonds with referees and was demoted to Serie B. The Bianconeri were also stripped of two Scudetto titles.
Nonetheless, many believed that others who escaped unharmed had also committed similar infringements, but managed to avoid punishment for one reason or another.
Juventus fans had often pointed the finger towards Inter who benefitted the most from the scandal, allowing the club to usher in a long-awaited winning dynasty between 2006 and 2010 with the Old Lady pushed aside.
Therefore, the words of then-Naples public prosecutor will surely boost this theory. Giandomenico Lepore admits that Inter should have been next in line, but the whole investigation was leaked in the press, which complicated the situation.
“We started with Juventus because we had more elements, but we had to move on to other teams,” admitted Lepore during his appearance in the documentary as published by Calciomercato.
“There were other teams too, almost all of them , let’s face it. One day, Espresso reported all the interceptions. The telephones were automatically closed and only Juventus remained.
“We had our suspicions, but we never had any evidence. We don’t know. If we had gone ahead, there would have been other teams. After Juventus, we were ready to investigate Inter.”
Stari prdonja je znao...pa nije Berlusconi dzaba govorio u ono vrijeme, treba "kazniti" pojedince a ne klubove...Moggi reveals Berlusconi tipped him off over potential wiretapping
Former Juventus executive Luciano Moggi recently commented on the Calciopoli crisis and revealed he was tipped off about a potential wiretap by former AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi before the results of the investigations were out.
Moggi was the face of Juventus in the case, which saw the Bianconeri get relegated to Serie B and stripped of some league titles.
The black and whites are in legal trouble again, which has brought about talks about the Calciopoli scandal and there are fears they could suffer a severe punishment like in 2006.
However, the club maintained its innocence and Moggi hopes it does not happen. He recalled some parts of the Calciopoli scandal and revealed via Calciomercato:
“I met Berlusconi and he said to me: look there are interceptions but there is nothing criminal … so the problem does not arise”.
Kako vrije izmice, kockice se sve vise i vise slazu...i onda kazu, nije Juventus target...aha, nije, nije..

Citajte izmedju redova...Former referee designator reveals major plot to oust Moggi and Giraudo
Almost 17 years following the eruption of the original scandal, Calciopoli remains one of the most discussed episodes in Italian football.
On Monday evening, Rai Tre aired a documentary on the 2006 scandal which featured revelations from several persons who were at the center of events, including former Juventus sporting director Luciano Moggi.
The 85-year-old was portrayed as the main culprit in the entire episode. He received a life ban from the sport, while the Bianconeri were stripped of two Scudetto titles and relegated to Serie B with a point deduction.
But yesterday’s documentary had some shocking revelations in store, including a major plot to oust Moggi and then-Juventus CEO Antonio Giraudo from the club.
According to former referee designator Paulo Bergamo, this was only a part of a cunning ploy to install John Elkann as the head of the Agnelli family following the passing of his legendary grandfather Gianni Agnelli in 2003.
The alleged conspiracy included insiders who were a part of Juve’s orbit, as well as Marco Tronchetti Provera, a longtime Inter associate.
“There was an industrial agreement between (longtime Inter sponsor) Tronchetti Provera and (former Ferrari chairman) Luca di Montezemolo, (former Juventus president) Grande Stevens, (former advisor of Gianni Agnelli) Gianluca Gabetti and the Elkanns,” said Bergamo as reported by Calciomercato.
“I first learned that Moggi and Giraudo were against them, the honorable. The consortium formed aimed to install John Elkann as the head of the Fiat group, while the presence of Giraudo and Moggi suggested that Andrea Agnelli would become the family’s leader.”

Sta kaze forumska mahala predvodjena sektom..Juventus je optuzen, kriv, svi drugi andjeli...
Calciopoli investigation ‘stopped at Juventus because of media leaks’
Rai 3 aired a special investigation into the 2006 Calciopoli scandal this evening, including new interviews suggesting Juventus were by no means the only ones in contact over referees and that Inter were saved by a leak to the media.
The last few days have already seen some of the statements in the papers, along with disgraced former Juve director Luciano Moggi – considered the head of the system brought down by Calciopoli – handing a USB key with 170,000 intercepted phone calls to various newspapers.
Television programme ‘Report’ aired its episode this evening on Rai 3 and there were new interviews, including with Paolo Bergamo, who was the refereeing designator from 1999 to 2005.
“(Then Inter President Massimo) Moratti called me to go to dinner with him in July 2002. I went to his house, we sat down along with our wives and not even five minutes later he says: You have to tell me why the referees hate Inter. He believed we were sending referees that were hostile to Inter, to make them lose.”
According to Report, Inter signed a secret agreement to compensate those who were involved in illegal wiretaps and investigations, including the refereeing designator Bergamo.
This may well have been part of the same controversy that saw former players like Christian Vieri sue Inter, claiming private investigators had been trailing them and listening in on calls to check they were not partying too excessively.
Another interesting new revelation came from Giandomenico Lepore, who was the general prosecutor of Naples from 2004 to 2011 and therefore involved in gathering wiretaps.
“We started with Juventus because there were more elements there and then were meant to look into the other clubs. And almost all the other clubs were involved, let’s be honest,” said Lepore.
“One day, a supplement in Espresso magazine reported all the wiretaps. Suddenly, all those phones were shut down and all we were left with was Juventus. We have our suspicions about who leaked the evidence, but never any real proof, so we just don’t know.
“If we had been able to continue the investigation, Inter were next in line after Juve.”
There have for many years been claims that Inter legend Giacinto Facchetti had similar phone calls with the refereeing designator to Moggi, but that those were not taken into consideration.
Among them, a call ahead of the Coppa Italia semi-final, which was assigned to Paolo Bertini.
“Only four wins with him? Then let’s boost that score to five wins,” laughed Bergamo. “He is an intelligent lad, he knows how to get ahead.”
Bertini was involved in the Calciopoli trial and cleared of any wrongdoing in July 2006.
He was initially penalised with suspension in the civil trials for sporting fraud in 2008 and 2011, but in both cases eventually cleared on appeal.
Gianluca Paparesta was involved in the Calciopoli scandal when it emerged Moggi had confronted him in the locker room and claimed to have locked him in a cupboard.
“There were plenty of other times when directors came into the locker room to complain. I didn’t stay there underlining each incident like a lecturer,” said Paparesta on Report.
Juventus were stripped of two Serie A titles and demoted to Serie B, with the 2005-06 Scudetto handed to Inter.

Ispratio sam citav Reportovu emisiju o calciopoliju.
Re: Juventus FC
Ovo i meni mnogo smeta. Nema lahkih pobjeda, pa ni protiv fenjeraša. Niko se ne može nadigrati. Uvijek mučenje i patnja. Re: Juventus FC
Juventus appeal hearing begins: Who is currently present?
Juventus’ appeal hearing against the club’s -15 point deduction is currently underway at the CONI Collegio Di Garanzia and certain representatives from the Bianconeri are in attendance.
The case is being presided over by Gabriella Palmieri Sandulli and also includes judges Vito Branca, Attilio Zimatore, Massimo Zaccheo and Dante D’Alessio, who got proceedings underway shortly after 13.30 UK time.
Juve’s current president Gianluca Ferrero is also at the hearing, represented by lawyers Maurizio Bellacosa, Angelo Clarizia, Nino Paolantonio and Davide Sangiorgio.
The prosecutor Giuseppe Chine was not in attendance, as the FIGC were not present in court. Attorney General of Sport Ugo Taucer, is however there at the hearing.
Juve’s chief football officer Francesco Calvo was seen at the club’s training facility in Turin this morning.
The hearing is expected to last two to three hours over the course of this afternoon and a verdict is expected later today, although it may take a little while longer to understand the full extent of the outcome.
Juventus and Paratici’s appeal hearing: when does it start? When’s the verdict? All you need to know
Juventus‘ appeal hearing against a 15-point deduction takes place on April 19, 2023, starting at 13:30 GMT+1 (14:30 local time). Here’s all you need to know.
It’s a crucial day for the Old Lady who hope to have a 15-point penalty revoked. The appeal hearing at the CONI Collegio Di Garanzia takes place in Rome today and will start in the early afternoon.
It will be chaired by President Gabrielle Palmieri Sandulli along with sections Presidents Vito Branca, Attilio Zimatore, Massimo Zaccheo and Dante Alessio.
Former Juventus directors, including Fabio Paratici, and ex-club President and vice-president Andrea Agnelli and Pavel Nedved, have also appealed against lengthy bans and a verdict is expected today although it may take a little longer to know the outcome.
The first thing to know is that CONI Collegio di Garanzia bases its decisions on the legitimacy of the appeal and not on merit, so it just intervenes if the rule of law is violated. Today’s hearing will last from two to three hours and there are three possible scenarios.
First: Juventus’ and their directors’ appeals are rejected. In this case, nothing changes and the 15-point penalty is confirmed.
Second: The club win the appeal, the point penalty is revoked and so are the bans for ex-directors.
Third: The club ‘partially’ win the appeal. In this case, the case goes back to the FIGC court, which needs to clarify better the reasons for the point deduction and bans which are put on hold until a new verdict arrives. As a consequence, and just if the case goes back to FIGC, the new ruling could come with a reduced point penalty for Juventus and shorter bans for their directors. It’s an unlikely scenario but one of the options on the table which would further stretch the saga.
‘I fear an Italian-style verdict for Juventus’
Journalist Giancarlo Padovan underlined his fears that a definitive decision wouldn’t be made regarding Juventus’ appeal against their 15-point deduction, calling Italians ‘unsurpassed specialists’ in ‘complicating life’.
Today, Juventus expect to hear back from CONI’s Collegio di Garanzia over their appeal against the FIGC court’s decision to give them a 15-point deduction back in January for falsifying capital gains through inflated player transfer values.
Should Juventus’ appeal be successful, they’d shoot up to third in the Serie A table, complicating the race for a Champions League spot even more. The Old Lady are also facing numerous other off-pitch issues, like the Prisma investigation or the investigation into their suspicious partnerships with clubs and false communications to the stock market with secret player wage agreements.
Writing for Calciomercato.com, Padovan discussed Juventus’ appeal and why things could be dragged on for even longer, despite the fact that a definitive ruling is expected today.
“Since we are in Italy, as Mourinho said, I fear an Italian-style verdict. In the land of law – as we know – byzantinisms are the order of the day and so I would not be surprised if this evening or tomorrow (there is no absolute certainty as to the day of the judgement), CONI’s Collegio di Garanzia would refer the matter back to the Federal Court of Appeals, asking for a remodelling (read reduction of penalty points) against Juve.
“In the meantime, the deducted 15 would be temporarily returned to the Bianconeri. One way like another to make the definition of a reliable league table even more complicated. When it comes to not deciding and complicating life, the Italians, especially in football, are unsurpassed specialists.
“This time more than ever we are faced with a process (but I find it hard to believe this) of a political nature.
“It would otherwise make no sense to read from several quarters that Juve, in order to settle in the second strand (salary manoeuvre and illicit dealings with prosecutors), would be better off with a minimum reduction of 15 points or even agree to lose it all.
“This seems crazy to me. On the one hand, it is arbitrary to consider Juve at the top of the capital gains system in order to give them Article 4, concerning sporting loyalty.
“On the other hand, it seems weak to agree with the prosecution so that the damage, although conspicuous, is not exacerbated (Serie B, just to understand).
“What kind of justice is this? And how is it that until two months ago, authoritative pundits were pointing out two roads (the confirmation of the penalty or the cancellation of the sentence), while now the third pro-Democratic way has come up?”
Juventus youngster Koni De Winter suffers major injury blow
After undergoing all necessary tests, Empoli confirmed the bad news: the defender has suffered a medium-grade lesion of the medial collateral ligament in the right knee.
Therefore, the promising youngster will be out of action for several months, and the club has confirmed that he has already started his rehabilitation process in its press release:
“Empoli Football Club announces that the instrumental tests to which the footballer Koni De Winter was subjected following the last match against Cremonese, detected a medium-grade lesion of the medial collateral ligament of the right knee,” reads the statement as published by ilBianconero.
