Next Monday on Report (Rai) new interviews and new revelations on what happened during Calciopoli in 2006, thanks to a USB stick left by Moggi both to Agnelli and to some journalists.
Report’s director: “The protagonists we interviewed spoke about a political plan to undermine Moggi's power, create another one or in any case give space to other powers that already existed. It was a transfer of power”.
Cellino: “There were folders with the financial documents that the teams had to present for registration in Serie A. And it had everything in it: false sureties, illegal travel expenses, busted documents. Practically, almost no one could register for Serie A. So we went to the square below the office, there was an iron bin, we threw everything in and burned everything. The next day, when the Guardia di Finanza came they looked for that folder, but they couldn't find shit”
Vaciago: if the reconstruction of the facts proves to be reliable, this is another proof of how little justice there was in that sad period of Italian football. While teams with the same accusations were treated in a diametrically opposite way, also thanks to expertly hidden interceptions, while the good guys were separated as peremptorily as hastily from the bad guys, in Lega Calcio there were those who burned documents that would have prevented registration for the championships and, perhaps, more serious penal consequences to those teams produced those documents. It is a parallel story to those that led to Juventus' relegation to Serie B and the awarding of the Scudetto to Inter by a FIGC commissioner who had been a director of the Nerazzurri until some time before.
Cellino (Serie A President in 2006) to Rai: “Football was collapsing, I was trying to clean up a bit, but I didn't know where to start. There were dossiers with many irregularities… we took everything and burned it. When they came to check they found nothing"
Lepore, PM chief: “some clubs were more involved than Juventus but the leak of news and interceptions blocked everything”
Juventus is open to a plea bargain but have conditions
Juventus is reportedly open to a plea bargain with authorities as they continue to fight multiple legal battles.
The Bianconeri have already lost 15 league points as a punishment for their use of capital gains and the black and whites could be in more trouble as the Prisma investigation into their financial activities also comes to an end.
It seems more trouble is on its way for the Bianconeri who must now prove they are innocent in multiple financial cases.
The black and whites have several options, including entering into a plea bargain with the authorities. Football Italia reveals it is an option they can explore under certain conditions.
The report says, firstly, there must be an agreement with the Agnelli family and secondly, Juve must get a positive verdict on their appeal against a 15-point deduction earlier this month.
Juve FC Says
The club is big enough to employ the best lawyers, and we expect them to get positive verdicts in all these cases.
It would not be easy, but they have assured fans that there is no wrongdoing on their part, so we believe them until it is proven otherwise.
