Bolton centre-back Gary Cahill has been cleared to join Arsenal after the Trotters signed Middlesbrough's David Wheater as his replacement.

Ward: We can't wait to face King

Wolves' defender Stephen Ward has admitted that his teammates simply cannot wait to face Kenny Dalglish tomorrow.


Speaking exclusively to Liverpoolfc.tv, the Irishman revealed that scoring against Liverpool back in December was a highlight of his career and that playing against Dalglish could well be a new one.

Ward said: "It was definitely up there with the highlights of my career - scoring at such an historic ground and such an iconic place makes it something I'll never forget.

"The lads are really looking forward to the game and to be coming up against Liverpool in this way - against the greatest Liverpool player of all time - it's just not something you do every day of the week."

Wolves recorded an emphatic 5-0 win against Doncaster mid-week - but Ward conceded that things will be trickier for his side tomorrow.

"I think the lads are full of confidence but we can't underestimate the side that will be coming to face us and with a new manager in there," said Ward. "I'm sure they'll want to give him a win and show what they can do under Dalglish himself."

Meanwhile, the forward talked of ex-Red Adam Hammill's signing at Molineux this week.

"I think it's a positive signing, I think he's been fantastic in the Championship - scoring and creating loads of goals, and it will give us an extra option in the attacking areas of the field.

"He can play on the right side and the left side and to have options like that in the team is vital. If he can have a few goals and then play as well as he has been doing for Barnsley then he'll be a great signing for us."

Liverpool Director Of Football Strategy Damien Comolli has dismissed suggestions that the English giants are in crisis this season, but confirmed the club are interested in signing Luis Suarez and Ashley Young.

The Reds are currently 13th in the Premier League table, having collected just 26 points from 22 matches, and are just four points above the relegation zone.

Hopes of European qualification are fading fast but Comolli believes that it's not the time to scream crisis at Anfield.

"There is no crisis," Comolli told Canal+Sport, according to Goal.com France. "I see things from the inside, but I do not have that feeling there.

"Yes, there is a problem [of confidence] in the side and we saw that against Wolverhampton. From the moment we conceded a goal, there was not much effort to stage a comeback.

"[Fernando] Torres and [Steven] Gerrard are exactly at the same physical level as they were in the year in which they finished second [2008]."

The Frenchman also spoke about the prospective recruitment of Ajax striker Luis Suarez and Aston Villa attacker Ashley Young. However, Comolli insisted that Liverpool were not 'in dialogue with Ajax' over signing Suarez - suggesting that the interview may have been conducted earlier this month.

"We are looking primarily for an offensive player because the team is short on pace. As for Suarez, At the moment there is no dialogue with Ajax but he is one of the players we are interested in. Will he be available in January? It's another issue.

"As for Young, if he is available then he will be of interest for us. But I do not think that this is the case."

Liverpool ima Gerrada i Torresa,koji su istinski kvalitet i igraci za koje bi bilo mjesta u svakoj ekipi na svijetu,zatim Johnsona,Meirelesa,Reinu koji su kvalitetni igraci,pa i Agger kada je zdrav i u formi..
Ostalo je sve manje vise jad i cemer..
Suarez bi vam legao ko budali samar,uvjeren sam da bi i Torres igrao duplo bolje ako bi imao Suareza kraj sebe.

pa drug pretjerujes malo. mene nikad ne bi bilo sramota reci da navijam za liverpool pa i da igramo league 2. i sad ti i dalglisha ubaci u isti kos sa rafom i royom a dalglish je najveca živa legenda liverpoola ne moze se za njega govoriti da ce raditi kao prethodna dvojica. posebno ovaj roy jest da sam ja uvijek protiv rafe al roy je bio najpogubljeniji trener kojeg sam ja vidio u nekom klubu... nije znao gdje se nalazi i sta treba raditi. al reci da ce i king kenny nastaviti raditi ono sto su njegova dvojica prethodnika radila je meni neshvatljivo.
