Bulls' Rose, Noah planning to play vs. Raptors
By K.C. Johnson
Both Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah participated in the Bulls' morning shootaround at Air Canada Centre in Toronto and plan to play later Wednesday against the Raptors.
Their official status will be revealed closer to game time.
Rose suffered a sprained right wrist, bruised right elbow and hip and mildly sprained left ankle in Saturday's victory over the Pacers. He said Monday that the wrist and ankle and fine, but that the elbow and hip remain sore.
Noah has been battling sore knuckles and tendons on his right hand for weeks. He has been taping his knuckles. The Tribune reported late Tuesday that management has held internal discussions about resting Noah, whose situation hasn't improved. Surgery has not been ruled out, if that becomes necessary to fix the problem.
Noah all along planned to play against the Raptors. After Wednesday, the Bulls have just one game -- Saturday against the Clippers and Vinny Del Negro -- over the next five days, a rarity in the NBA. If he is rested, that's an opportunity.
The Bulls are aiming for their seventh straight victory Wednesday night.
