Dobar potez, jer Asmir ima veliku klasu, i zeli da brani, drugi klubovi ga zele, a stoke ga na klupi cuva..

Stoke ima planove za njega. Ne može biti prvi golman preko noći. Ovi klubovi što se zanimaju za njega, planiraju ga dovesti kao rezervu, pa vi razmislite, jeli bolje biti prvi golman Stoke-a (što će sigurno biti), ili sjediti na klupi jednom Cechu ili Hartu? However, the former Portsmouth stopper has been in touch with the PFA to deny that was the case and insist he simply told Pulis his mind was not right to play.

PFA deputy chief executive Bobby Barnes said: "The PFA would not condone a player refusing to play for his club.

"But Asmir was at great pains to make it clear to me and the wider public that at no stage had he actually said that he refused to play for the club.

"I think it's common knowledge now that there has been a bid received.

"From Asmir's point of view he says that he had a conversation with the manager in which he was asked whether he was 100% fit and ready to play.

"Asmir's take is that he had indicated that his mind was a little bit scrambled by things and that probably if there was an alternative it would be best if he didn't play.

"But he is at great pains to say at no stage did he say that he wouldn't play, and had he been asked to play he would have done so."

Barnes added on Sky Sports News: "Managers will ask players - whether it be to do with an injury or a personal issue - is it something that you think you can clear your mind of and be able to play 100%? A player would give an honest answer to that.

"In this particular case - and I haven't spoken to Tony, who might have an alternative view - Asmir was adamant that he would have played if he was asked to play.

"But the question was 'are you 100% able mentally to play?'

"The answer has been a negative one and on that basis the manager has made a decision."

Znaci Asmir je samo reko da nije 100% fokusiran na Stoke u ovom trenutku, nije odbio igrat. Ovaj Pulis je inace poznati kreten, pa lik je se pobio sa svojim igracem Beattiem prije nekoliko mjeseci.

Davno su oni njeg stavljali da brani,i pokazao se kao veoma dobar,po nekima i odlican.I vazda tako,kad dobije priliku,hvale ga Engleski mediji,Pullis,suigraci...I onda opet stavi onog Sere-n-sena!Normala da ce bit nezadovoljan,sta treba da pravi salte ko Rene Higuita na golu,pa da brani.Bjez ba,onaj cvikeras ne vidi dalje od nosa,**** ga Sorensen i svi Danci.Bolje bit zamjena jednom Cehu,neg onom konju...

Begovic's 'No Show' An Internal Matter
STOKE CITY Chairman Peter Coates has insisted that the Club are not interested in selling Asmir Begovic . . . and will deal internally with the issue of him not playing in Tuesday's Carling Cup tie against Shrewsbury Town.

Following a meeting with the 23-year-old Bosnian international goalkeeper, Mr Coates has issued a hands-off to Chelsea as the Club considers what course of action to take in light of his reluctance to feature in the cup match.

Begovic had said that he was not in "the right state of mind to play" in the Shrewsbury tie, much to the surprise of manager Tony Pulis who had initially included him in his starting line-up for his first appearance of the season.

Mr Coates stated: "This is an internal matter and we will decide what action to take, but Asmir remains a Stoke City player."

City's Chairman did, however, confirm that the Club had rejected a bid for Begovic from reigning champions Chelsea, who are their next opponents in the Barclays Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

"We have already rejected an offer from Chelsea , but we wouldn't welcome another one from them," he added. "Asmir is regarded as one of the best young goalkeepers in the country which is why we are not interested in any fresh attempt by Chelsea, or for that matter any other Premier League club, to try and sign him."

I WOULD love to say I was staggered by claims that Asmir Begovic wouldn't play for Stoke on Tuesday. Sadly, it is no huge surprise, writes Robbie Earle.

After all, the Begovic saga came just a day after Javier Mascherano, pictured below, was left out of Liverpool's team that lost at Manchester City because he wasn't "in the right frame of mind" after an approach for his services from Barcelona.

This is an ugly side of the modern game, although not everything has changed if reports of the other Liverpool players turning on Mascherano are true. When I was a player, had any team-mate ducked out of a match they could expect to face the wrath of the players' committee.

I don't think for a minute that Stoke's other players will be happy with Begovic if reports that he effectively pulled out of the game against Shrewsbury are correct.

I imagine he will be more welcome in the Chelsea dressing room than the Stoke one when the teams meet at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Stoke chairman Peter Coates is also entitled to wonder exactly what he's been paying Begovic for since the lad joined the club from Portsmouth in January.

I don't imagine City will have seen much change out of £500,000 in his wages since then – and now they actually want to give him a game, apparently he's not up to it.

In the past, a player who fancied a move might invent a hard-to-disprove back twinge to withdraw his labour. Now there's nothing so subtle. We are just told they want to go.

Chelsea are reportedly the club who want to sign Begovic, but, apart from a pay rise, I don't see why the keeper would go to Stamford Bridge.

I'm sure he wants to play first-team football, but he would have had a better chance of displacing Thomas Sorensen than Petr Cech.

Begovic might well have felt that Chelsea wouldn't want him cup-tied, and so it would be better if he didn't turn out for Stoke in the Carling Cup. But who cares what Chelsea want?

Moguce da ga prodaju do kraja prelaznog roka, meni ove izjave predsjednika Stokea i trenera kako je Asmir naj naj naj izgledaju kao tipicno dizanje cijene. Mislim jest on veliki potencijal, ali mi se cini da ga malo previse hvale s obzirom da im je drugi golman
A evo i Asmirov agent poceo izjavljivati kako se on osjeca prevarenim od strane kluba...
