Ja neznam sto bi covjek iso u neki veci klub..ako ovako dzeko i wolfsburg nastave oni ce biti na vrhu bundeslige ..to znaci champions league..ili uefa kup sljedece sezone. Ja licno mislim da bi trebo da odigra barem jos jednu sezonu za wolf pa onda neka razmislja o transferu..

Bundesliga One To Watch: Edin Dzeko

Now in his second season in the Bundesliga, Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko is beginning to make people stand up and take note of his talent. Goal.com takes a closer look at the Wolfsburg hitman.
22-year old Edin Dzeko was reportedly on the Arsenal radar back in January with the Gunners looking for a replacement for the injured Robin van Persie. It has now emerged that the Bosnian has awoken the interest of Blackburn Rovers, who see him as a ready-made replacement should Roque Santa Cruz leave Ewood Park.

So what is it that has made the Wolfsburg striker such a hot property?

Well, quite simply - goals. Since joining Wolfsburg back in July 2007 from Czech side FC Teplice, Dzeko has fulfilled all his youthful promise to become a highly dangerous Bundesliga striker forming one of the most deadly duos in the German top flight.

Over at, Hoffenheim fellow Bosnian Vedad Ibisevic has hit 18 goals to make he and Demba Ba the most prolific forward line in the league. But the partnership Dzeko has formed with Brazilian Grafite at Wolfsburg is the second most dangerous with 25 goals between them. If you include Cup games, they are the top duo. With Ibisevic out for the rest of the season, there is a good chance that the Grafite/ Dzeko pairing will finish the season as German footballs most deadly.

He was discovered as a 16-year-old playing for Bosnian club side FC Zeljeznicar Sarajevo, where his performances for the mid-table outfit prompted a move to the Czech Republic where he impressed for Czech minnows FK Usti nad Labem.

He soon earned a move to FK Teplice in the Czech Gambrinus Liga, where he racked up a positive goalscoring tally with 17 goals in 43 league appearances in his years stay at the club. His international debut arrived in June 2007 when he scored on his debut in a 3-2 win over Turkey.

After joining the Felix Magath project at Wolfsburg - although Werder Bremen were also interested - at the start of the 2007-08 season, Dzeko took a little time to settle but hit 8 goals in his first season adding 7 assists.

This season he has blossomed even more hitting 11 goals thus far in the Bundesliga in 20 appearances with 8 assists to boot. He has added four more in Wolfsburg’s Uefa Cup run as well as six in just two DFB Pokal outings! (He hit four in the 1st round win at Oberneuland).

His strength lies in his all-round ability. At 1m 92 he is a handful for defenders in the air, he is strong, yet quick and mobile for a big man and has become a better finisher this season. Add confidence; and you have a highly desirable striker.

This season under the tutelage of Felix Magath, the Bosnian has improved his ratio of chances to goals, his shooting accuracy, and also the number of shots he is getting in on goal.

His goals have helped Wolfsburg to fourth place in the Bundesliga after round 22, and there is a good chance that the club may sneak a Champions League spot this season. A UEFA Cup slot is their minimum expectation.

Back in 2007 Dzeko told the Wolfsburg official website: “As a boy I always dreamed of playing in the Bundesliga. I gave my all for it. Now I want to become a first-team regular at VfL, and I’ll be training hard to that end.”

That early goal has now been achieved. It is time for the Bosnian striker to set himself some new ambitious goals. His contract at the Volkswagen Arena runs until 2011, but if he keeps on with his current development, it won’t be long before other clubs renew their interest in him.

pa Dzeko je trenutno nejbolji napadac bundes lige(jer je vedo povrijeden) strasan je neplasi se krenuti protiv trojice u odbrani i to je ono sto krasi velike igrace.Mislim da bi mu bilo bolje da i sledecu sezonu provede u Wolfsburgu jer iza svojih leda ima misketa koji je caroban igrac i siguran sam da od njega moze puno da nauci

kad pocne harati po Spaniji...mislim da bi mu bolje bilo da ode u Spaniju nego u englesku...u spaniji do izrazaja dolazi ljepota fudbala, kontrola lopte, dobri potezi sto Dzeko svakako zna da uradi i iako je on fizicki taman za englesku ligu mislim da bi mu bolje bilo igrati u spaniji...a na kraju krajeva i lakse bi zabijo...kad bude:

U njemackim medijama nisam jos nista o tome nasao.
U istom clanku pise, da je Felix Magath tu ponudu odbio a on u Wolfsburgu odlucuje skoro sve. Magath dobro zna koliko ce njegova vrijednost jos skociti i koliko u tome vremenu moze da koristi Wolfsburgu. A ja mislim da jos 1-2 godine Dzeki pod Magathom nebi stetile. Naprotiv, kada se pogleda gdje u tabeli upravo stoji Wolfsburg i da su do sada najuspjesnija momcad druge polusezone, isto zahvaljujuci Dzeki. UEFA i CL su 2 mogucnosti. Iako znam da mnogo ljudi favoriziraju druge zemlje i lige, Bundesliga ja do sada super stasala nase zvijezde.

Bas me interesuje koliko bih se sada odlucili za Ibrahimovica mjesto Dzeke.
