Milan put Poli and Honda negotiations on hold
MILAN WANT to sell some players before returning to the negotiation table with Sampdoria and CSKA Moscow.
Every Milan fan knows that the Rossoneri have to sell before signing because Milan have a lot of players in the squad already (and are also short in cash) and the situation hasn’t changed yet as Milan haven’t waved goodbye to more players.
Mario Yepes, Massimo Ambrosini and Bojan Krkic will officially become ex-Milan players tomorrow when their contract expires and Mathieu Flamini could join those three players as Milan haven’t reached an agreement with him.
Flamini wants a salary and a contract duration that Milan are not willing to give and it’s unlikely that he will stay. According to today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport, if Flamini leaves then Milan will return to negotiating with Sampdoria about Andrea Poli. The agreement with Samp is almost there but if Flamini stays it’s not sure whether Milan will try to sign the 23-year-old.
The same also applies to Keisuke Honda. The CSKA Moscow is a target of Milan and the Japanese journalist Sachiko Higashida (of Nippon TV) believes that “it is very likely that Honda will wear red & black”, but his Milan arrival is directly involved with an exit – the exit of Kevin-Prince Boateng. Milan want to sell the player who has recently returned to Ghana national team but at the moment there are no offers for Milan and so Milan cannot move further for Honda until Boa is sold.
CSKA could decide to keep Honda, whose contract expires in December, until July 13 – when they face Zenit in the Russian Super Cup. La Gazzetta believes that Milan want to reduce the squad size to 25-26 players. They currently have over 30.

There is a good player, and a great star, and after a legend. But above all these comes Paolo Maldini.
